Requirements
Must:
- I seek a candidate with extensive experience in web application and API development at a senior level.
- You must be able to mentor more junior team members in the absence of the Technical Lead.
- An expert understanding of microservice architecture is required.
- Preferred expertise in the PHP Symfony framework.
- Proficiency in JavaScript, particularly with modern frameworks; experience in React is preferred.
- Proficient in SQL with experience in MySQL.
- Experience with cloud platforms, specifically AWS, is desirable.
- Familiarity with design-led and mobile-led approaches is important.
- A solid understanding of good UI/UX design is necessary.
- Good working knowledge of Docker is expected.
- Experience in delivering SaaS solutions is required.
- Familiarity with implementing CI/CD pipelines is expected.
Responsibilities
- I will rely on you to design, develop, test, and maintain complex PHP web applications and APIs that deliver secure, scalable, and performant solutions.
- You will be responsible for designing and developing front-end code with a focus on security, accessibility, and enhancing the user experience.
- I expect you to provide valuable input on key technology, architectural, and development decisions.
Description
In this role, you will have a hands-on position at all stages of the software lifecycle, contributing to planning and solution design, as well as coding, testing, and maintaining web applications and APIs. You will join a team of agile developers committed to building and supporting systems that uphold high standards of security, scalability, and performance. The ideal candidate will have demonstrable experience working at a senior level across the full stack within a web development team, showcasing keen attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills. Please note that this role requires you to work at least two days per week at our offices in Exeter, with no flexibility for a fully remote position.
