Requirements
Must:
- Linux expert, comfortable with VMs or containers
- Strong Python skills (Ruby is a bonus)
- Hands-on experience with databases, web servers, DNS, CDNs, queues, and load balancers
- Experience building cloud services (AWS preferred)
- Skilled in Terraform/CloudFormation and CI/CD pipelines
- Familiarity with Kubernetes, ECS, or serverless technologies
- Solid Git knowledge and understanding of security best practices
- Experience providing technical leadership
Responsibilities
As a Site Reliability Engineer, you will be involved in the transformation of complex and sensitive data into a modern, reliable data hub that is used across government and beyond. You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team, solving complex problems, improving platform reliability, and building infrastructure that scales.
Description
This is a unique opportunity to have a substantial impact on how the public sector shares data. We are located in London or Manchester and are operating in a hybrid model, requiring you to be on-site 2 to 3 days per week. The contract length is initially 12 months, with a competitive day rate of £650-£675 per day, inside IR35.
