Requirements
Must:
- CCNP-level qualified or equivalent real-world expertise.
- Strong knowledge of routing protocols, especially BGP.
- Hands-on experience with Cisco IOS-XR, Cisco NX-OS, and/or Arista EOS.
- Proven experience in deploying networks in low-latency environments.
- Experience in financial trading environments.
- Solid understanding of WAN technologies, optical networking, and fibre waves.
- Proficiency in network automation tools such as Ansible, Python, Jinja2, Git, Terraform, and Jenkins.
- Experience in multicast configuration and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with Layer 1 MUX switching and packet tapping/timestamping.
- Understanding of network security principles, including VPNs and QoS.
- Comfortable using monitoring tools and managing network migration and handover.
Responsibilities
As a Senior Networking Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing, building, and supporting high-performance, highly available network solutions across global trading environments. You will work on a major new data centre implementation project for a financial services client, focusing on cutting-edge low-latency network design, colocation infrastructure, and network automation. You will thrive in a fast-paced, DevOps-focused environment and will be expected to contribute your expertise to our exciting projects.
Description
This is a permanent position offering a competitive salary of £70,000 - £80,000 per annum, with the opportunity to work four days a week on-site in London.
