Requirements
Must:
- Active Developed Vetting (DV) clearance required
- Able to work on-site for the duration of the engagement
- Fortinet Certified Professional (FCP) in Network Security, Cloud Security, and Security Operations (minimum)
- NetApp Certified Technology Solutions / Data Administrator - ONTAP (minimum)
- Strong hands-on experience administering NetApp StorageGRID and associated storage platforms
- Experience with Fortinet security solutions (e.g. firewalls, security gateways, SD-WAN)
- Solid background in systems administration across Windows-based infrastructure including Active Directory
- Experience in structured ITSM environments, ideally ServiceNow, including incident, change and problem management
- Proven track record of managing complex, multi-site systems
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to prioritize high-impact issues quickly
- Confident working alongside military and civil service stakeholders with clear communication skills
Responsibilities
- Work on-site with Technical SysAdmins, maintaining a system administrator account for Air CHAN
- Access relevant MODNET devices to support system administration and IT service management
- Collaborate with SysAdmins and security/network authorities on daily operations and incident resolution
- Provide remote assistance to technicians at other locations as required
- Support the implementation and use of a ServiceNow-based IT Service Management solution for Air CHAN
- Monitor system faults, events, and performance using existing features and ITSM tools
- Conduct security monitoring and coordinate with agencies for log collection and analysis
- Perform initial fault triage and rectification during standard working hours
- Plan and deploy updates and patches to all system components
- Manage warranties and licenses for all major OEM equipment across Air CHAN sites
- Ensure configuration consistency across sites, focusing on inter-site connectivity
- Analyze system logs and identify potential issues
- Install, configure, and integrate new hardware and software
- Manage user accounts and assist users with technical queries
- Troubleshoot reported problems and escalate where necessary
- Ensure network infrastructure availability and resilience
- Configure, add, and delete storage systems, particularly NetApp / StorageGRID
- Participate in arrangements to ensure full cover during staff leave/holiday
