Must:

- Backend-leaning mindset (APIs, services, data, not just UI)
- Test-Driven Development (TDD) or strong automated testing discipline
- A solid understanding of engineering best practices (clean code, separation of concerns, maintainability, scalability)
- Experience with Node.js, AWS, MongoDB, or modern cloud-native platforms (nice to have)
- Familiarity with GitHub, CI/CD (nice to have)
- Experience with PHP or modernizing legacy systems (nice to have)
- Experience in data-heavy, time-series, or IoT-style platforms (nice to have)
Responsibilities
- Collaborate on modernizing a legacy PHP platform into a TypeScript-based, Node.js, service-driven architecture
- Make technical decisions to improve the platform
- Set engineering standards for the team
- Support and mentor junior developers
- Communicate effectively about code quality, architecture, testing, and delivery
