Requirements
Must:
We are looking for candidates with proven 3rd line or senior technical support experience. Strong skills across Windows Server, Active Directory/Entra ID, and Exchange/Office 365 are essential. You should possess hands-on knowledge of Azure and/or AWS cloud platforms, along with experience in VMware and Hyper-V virtualization. Familiarity with firewall management, VLAN creation, and LAN/WAN troubleshooting is important. A solid understanding of backup and disaster recovery solutions is required, and awareness of compliance frameworks such as Cyber Essentials Plus, PCI DSS, ISO, and CoCo is a plus. Excellent problem-solving skills with a security-first mindset are necessary.
Responsibilities
In this role, I expect you to act as the go-to point for escalated incidents and complex service requests. You will manage and maintain core infrastructure, including servers, storage, networking, and cloud platforms. Ensuring IT security best practices are followed is crucial, including patching, vulnerability remediation, and access management. You will administer backup and disaster recovery solutions such as Acronis and Azure Backup, oversee Windows Server environments (2012-2022), Active Directory, Entra ID, DNS, and DHCP. Supporting and securing cloud environments in Azure and AWS, administering Microsoft Exchange and Office 365, and delivering IT projects from planning through to successful completion will also be part of your role. Additionally, maintaining clear documentation and contributing to internal knowledge sharing are important aspects of your responsibilities.
