Requirements
Must:
- You must have active SC Clearance.
- You should demonstrate a strong enthusiasm for Information and Cyber Security, along with a willingness to learn and travel as needed.
- You need to have experience as an ISO 27001 auditor.
- Proven experience in Defence or Government cyber security assurance roles (such as DITSO or WARP) is essential.
Responsibilities
- I will require you to support and maintain information assurance across Defence and Other Government Department (OGD) environments.
- You will conduct ISO 27001 audits and ensure continued compliance with security frameworks.
- You will act as a Defence or OGD Information Technology Security Officer (DITSO), providing expert advice and assurance to programmes.
- You will operate within a Warning, Advice & Reporting Point (WARP) capacity to help monitor and communicate security issues.
- It will be necessary for you to liaise with internal and external stakeholders to uphold HMG cyber security policy and best practices.
- Participation in training and professional development activities to maintain awareness of emerging threats and standards will be expected.
Description
This contract role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to critical national security projects, ensuring compliance with cyber assurance standards and information security frameworks. We are looking for an experienced Information Security Officer to play a pivotal role within the Defence sector, offering flexibility, autonomy, and the chance to impact projects that support national security. Please note that this position is remote but will require travel to the Lichfield area 2-4 times per month. The remuneration for this role is £350 per day and it falls outside IR35.
