Requirements
Must:
- You must hold DV Clearance, which has been used within the last 12 months.
- Strong experience in data architecture development and implementation.
- Proficiency in data modeling and designing optimized data models for complex systems.
- Experience in data integration across various platforms and systems.
- A solid understanding of data security measures and their implementation.
- Familiarity with data governance policies and regulatory compliance.
- Ability to assess and recommend data management tools and technologies.
- Proven experience in monitoring and optimizing data system performance.
- Excellent leadership and mentorship skills, especially towards junior staff.
Responsibilities
- I will develop and implement data architecture strategies that align with our organisational goals and the specific needs of the defence sector.
- I will design and optimise data models to support essential defence-related data systems and applications.
- I will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the seamless integration of data across various defence systems and platforms.
- I will enforce robust data security measures to protect sensitive defence information from potential cyber threats.
- I will establish and enforce data governance policies and standards to maintain data quality, integrity, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- I will assess and recommend data management tools, technologies, and best practices that could enhance our data architecture.
- I will monitor and optimise the performance of our data systems to ensure efficient data storage, retrieval, and processing.
- I will provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior data architects and data engineers within our organisation.
Description
I am a part of a leading defence organisation dedicated to safeguarding our nation's security. Our mission focuses on providing innovative solutions to complex defence challenges, ensuring the safety and effectiveness of our armed forces. We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Data Architect to join our dynamic team for an initial 12-month contract, with the likelihood of extension. This role requires 4 days on-site in London and offers a competitive rate of £700.00 - £750.00 per day, operating inside IR35.
