Requirements
Must:
- Active BPSS clearance, ideally with SC or UKSV DV/MOD DV.
- Proficiency in AWS (experience with Azure or GCP is beneficial).
- Familiarity with vulnerability management, identity and access management (IDAM), and scanning tools.
- Experience with Docker/Podman, Kubernetes, and GPU containerization.
- Knowledge of microservices, serverless architecture, REST/gRPC, and messaging systems like Kafka/MQTT.
- Competence in Git, GitLab CI/CD, and tools like Terraform, Ansible, or Puppet.
- Programming skills in Python or Rust, along with Linux scripting.
- Experience with monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, and Elasticsearch.
Responsibilities
- Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines to enhance the development workflow.
- Coach teams in implementing DevSecOps practices for improved efficiency.
- Collaborate with product, engineering, security, and QA teams to ensure seamless integration and delivery.
- Support live systems, actively troubleshooting any issues that arise.
- Contribute to agile delivery processes, ensuring timely and high-quality releases.
Description
We are seeking a DevSecOps Engineer to join us on a major Defence programme. You will be working primarily in Hampshire, with three days a week on-site involvement. This contract offers a day rate of £700 to £750, operating inside IR35 for an initial duration of six months. Your expertise will be pivotal in enhancing our cloud, containerization, CI/CD, and SRE strategies to significantly improve release speed, reliability, and overall operational performance.
