Requirements
Must:
We require an experienced Automated Test Engineer with proven expertise in automated testing strategies for complex microservice systems. You should have strong programming and framework knowledge for building automated testing solutions. Additionally, experience in testing backend systems, APIs, and implementing non-functional testing solutions is essential. You must possess the ability to elicit requirements, assess risks, and influence testing strategies, along with experience working in agile teams and promoting agile practices.
Responsibilities
As part of your role, you will be responsible for developing and enhancing automated testing across all stages of product, system, and service development. You will collaborate with stakeholders to define requirements and acceptance criteria, ensuring robust test coverage. Implementing automation-first strategies and best practices for repeatable, efficient testing will be key aspects of your duties. You will also identify and adopt tools, techniques, and processes to strengthen our testing frameworks. Additionally, mentoring and supporting less experienced test engineers, as well as contributing to agile delivery—including sprint planning, estimations, and backlog refinement—will be important.
Description
This position offers a contract rate of £400/day and operates outside IR35, with a duration of 12 months. Candidates must possess a valid NPPV2 or NPPV3 security clearance. The role is fully remote and operates within an agile environment, allowing you to work closely with stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions.
