Requirements
Must:
- Experience in Level 1 / Level 2 technical support within a customer-facing environment
- Hands-on exposure to Microsoft Azure administration
- Understanding of cloud networking fundamentals (IP, DNS, routing, firewalls)
- Exposure to Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or Bicep
- Basic scripting or automation using PowerShell, Bash, or tools like Ansible
- Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills
- Any of the following certifications would be a bonus: Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104), Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900), Security, Compliance, and Identity Fundamentals (SC-900), ITIL Foundation Certification
Responsibilities
- Provide 1st and 2nd line technical support, including incident triage and resolution
- Administer Microsoft Azure Landing Zone environments (RBAC, subscriptions, policies, resources)
- Support core networking components including VNets, NSGs, and routing
- Respond to monitoring alerts, investigate issues, and escalate where required
- Act as an internal application champion for collaboration and CI/CD platforms
- Maintain operational documentation, runbooks, and support procedures
Description
We are seeking two Cloud Support Engineers to provide Level 1 and Level 2 support across secure, defence-focused cloud environments in Herefordshire, with the option for hybrid work up to 3 days per week. This role offers a competitive salary range of £55,000 to £65,000 and an opportunity to support secure cloud environments within defence programmes, while developing hands-on Azure and operational cloud experience.
