Requirements
Must:
We require an active DV clearance, along with at least 8 years of experience in cybersecurity, including a minimum of 3 years in a senior leadership role. Experience in UK defence or government environments, specifically working with JSP 440 and JSP 604, is necessary. Additionally, you should have knowledge of NIST, ISO 27001, and cloud security practices. Relevant certifications, such as CISSP or CISM, are essential. Proven incident response and project leadership skills are also critical.
Responsibilities
In this role, I will lead the integration of threat intelligence with the Ministry of Defence (MoD) and National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) teams. I will design and implement secure architectures, including firewalls, intrusion detection and prevention systems, and encryption measures. I will manage cyber incident responses and coordinate efforts with the MoD's Cyber Security Operations Centre (CSOC) and external agencies. Conducting vulnerability assessments and penetration testing will be part of my duties, alongside developing and enforcing project-specific security policies. I will ensure that cloud-based systems are secured in accordance with NCSC guidelines and deliver cybersecurity training to MoD personnel. I will also report project progress and metrics to senior leadership.
Description
This position is a contract role located at a secure MoD site in the UK, with full-time hours and the possibility of out-of-hours availability for incidents. A strict adherence to MoD protocols is required throughout the working conditions.
