Requirements
Must:
We require a Chief Information Officer (CIO) with active Developed Vetting (DV) clearance. You should possess extensive experience in IT operations and cybersecurity, with a proven track record in managing digital transformation projects. A strong understanding of critical infrastructure, advanced technologies, and data governance is essential. You must have excellent leadership skills to orchestrate cross-functional teams and deliver a secure, scalable, and efficient IT ecosystem.
Responsibilities
As the CIO, you will serve as the primary point of contact for a high-priority digital and security transformation project. You will spearhead the integration of IT operations and cybersecurity while collaborating with MoD leadership, the National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC), and defence contractors. Your responsibilities will include aligning IT and cybersecurity strategies with MoD objectives, coordinating project outcomes, overseeing threat detection and incident response, leading the adoption of AI and cloud systems, and driving the modernization of critical infrastructure. You will also manage change initiatives to foster the adoption of new systems, and provide high-level reporting on project progress and IT performance to senior stakeholders.
