Requirements
Must:
- Expert-level Python across the ML stack
- Strong, hands-on Machine Learning experience (model design, optimisation, evaluation)
- Strong Deep Learning experience (neural networks, modern architectures)
- Strong Databricks experience (working in teams delivering ML on the platform)
- Deep understanding of MLOps (production systems, scaling, reliability, monitoring, reproducibility)
- Proven technical credibility able to influence experienced ML teams confidently
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement
- GenAI experience (any practical exposure is beneficial)
Responsibilities
- Enhance ML capability across existing teams already using Databricks
- Provide guidance on advanced model design, evaluation, optimisation, and best-practice delivery
- Support production ML improvements: scaling, reliability, monitoring, performance/latency optimisation
- Improve experimentation frameworks (e.g., reproducibility, model comparison, A/B testing approaches)
- Influence and challenge effectively, bringing rigor while staying pragmatic and delivery-focused
- Communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders, translating complexity into action
Description
We are seeking an AI Maturity Specialist for a 12-month contract opportunity that is fully remote in the UK. In this role, you will partner with established Machine Learning teams, enhancing their standards, optimizing production ML, and strengthening MLOps capability. This is a hands-on position for someone who enjoys improving team operations and works well with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
