Requirements
Must:
- Strong experience within the financial services domain
- Proven experience delivering data transformation initiatives
- Experience with SQL and NoSQL architectures
- Knowledge of cloud or hybrid data platforms (Azure experience desirable)
- Skills in financial modeling, ROI definition, and KPI-driven decision making
- Ability to work with senior stakeholders and influence without authority
- Familiarity with Agile, Lean, and continuous delivery methodologies
Responsibilities
- Define and own the vision, strategy, and roadmap for enterprise data platforms aligned with CDO and business strategy
- Partner with SMEs, architects, engineers, and cross-functional leaders to shape high-value data solutions
- Translate product vision into a prioritized, value-based delivery roadmap
- Develop and validate business cases, presenting them to senior stakeholders and C-level committees
- Establish clear success metrics, KPIs, and measurable outcomes
- Lead ideation workshops to identify customer needs, pain points, and innovative solutions
- Apply Lean Agile and SAFe practices, collaborating across Program Increment (PI) cycles
- Champion best practices across data products including BI dashboards, data APIs, cloud and hybrid platforms, ML models, data governance frameworks, and master data management
- Act as the voice of the Data Platform, aligning technical capability with business demand
- Ensure full compliance with Risk and Data Governance policies
Description
We are a trusted client partnering in a data modernization program, seeking a Data Product Owner to play a pivotal role in launching data platforms and services. We offer a competitive salary of £95,000 plus a 25% bonus, 28 days of holiday, and an 8% contributory pension. The role is based in Chatham, London, and Wolverhampton on a hybrid working basis. You will join a collaborative team focused on delivering large-scale, complex data transformation initiatives.
