Requirements
Must:
To be successful in this role, we require you to have:
- Relevant IT qualifications such as an NVQ, Diploma, or Degree.
- MCSA Windows Server 2016-22 or equivalent.
- MTA: Networking, Security, and Windows Server Administrator Fundamentals.
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals.
- Microsoft 365 Certified: Fundamentals or equivalent.
- Microsoft Exchange qualifications.
We would also prefer if you have:
- Microsoft 365 Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate (Exams: MD-100 + MD-101).
- DrayTek DCNA certification.
- 3CX qualifications.
Skills/Knowledge/Experience:
Essential skills include:
- Working knowledge and experience of Windows Server, Windows Desktop, Microsoft Exchange, Remote Desktop Services, and Active Directory.
- Strong understanding of IT Networking principles including DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, WAN, LAN, WLAN, VLAN, and Wi-Fi topologies.
- Experience managing various Firewall technologies such as Checkpoint, Meraki, Sophos, Watchguard, and Fortinet.
- Familiarity with virtualization technologies like VMWare, Hyper-V, and Citrix.
- Experience with cloud technologies such as Azure, AWS, and Google Cloud.
- Knowledge of Microsoft 365 including MFA, SSO, OneDrive, Teams, SharePoint, InTune, and Entra Cloud Sync.
- Experience with backup/disaster recovery solutions such as Cove data protection and Veeam.
- Knowledge of endpoint security and management tools, such as SentinelOne.
- Experience designing and supporting VOIP systems.
- Understanding of GDPR and Cyber Security principles.
Responsibilities
As a Senior Infrastructure Engineer, your duties will include:
- Leading the support, maintenance, and improvement of client IT infrastructure.
- Acting as a senior technical resource within our internal team, providing expertise to design, document, and implement infrastructure solutions.
- Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, external consultants, and third-party suppliers to design and deliver technology roadmaps.
- Automating processes across the business using tools and scripts.
- Traveling to client sites across the UK (including some overnight stays) to oversee technical installations, project delivery, and incident resolution.
- Guiding and mentoring the technical team across various support levels to enhance skills and abilities.
- Communicating promptly, accurately, and consistently with colleagues and clients.
- Building client relationships and leading onboarding efforts.
- Continuously improving knowledge of software and hardware technologies that we support and implement.
- Demonstrating efficient management of your workload and excellent customer service at all times.
