- We require experience working in the UK public sector with valid/current UK Security Clearance.
- You should have commercial experience as a Security Architect or in a similar role, specifically with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure.
- In-depth knowledge of Oracle Cloud services, particularly in security areas such as Identity and Access Management (IAM), Data Safe, Key Management, and Security Zones is essential.
- A strong understanding of cloud security principles, including identity and access management, data protection, network security, and encryption is needed.
- Familiarity with cloud automation tools and DevOps practices is expected.
- Experience with security frameworks like NIST, ISO 27001, and CIS Benchmarks is important.
- Knowledge of security tools and technologies, including SIEM, firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and vulnerability scanners, is preferred.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills are necessary.
- Certifications such as Oracle Certified Professional, Cloud Architect, or Oracle Security Architecture Practitioner are highly desirable.
- A Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field would be advantageous.
- Lastly, you must have the valid right to work in the UK and be capable of holding or gaining a UK government security clearance.

Responsibilities
- You will design and implement Oracle Cloud Infrastructure security architecture that aligns with business objectives and industry standards.
- Development and enforcement of security policies, procedures, and guidelines to protect data, applications, and infrastructure in the cloud environment will be part of your role.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure security considerations are integrated into all phases of application and infrastructure lifecycle will be essential.
- Staying current with the latest security trends, technologies, and evolving OCI services to maintain a robust security posture is expected.
- You will provide technical guidance and support on Oracle OCI security features.
- Assisting in troubleshooting security issues and conducting investigations into security incidents will also be a responsibility, along with contributing to root cause analysis to prevent future occurrences.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date documentation of OCI architecture, policies, procedures, and configurations concerning security controls is necessary. You will present designs for reviews and provide regular updates to senior management.
- Working with client stakeholders to ensure security requirements are met in contracts and service level agreements will be needed.
- You will ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and contractual obligations related to cloud security.
