Requirements
Must:
- Experience managing Salesforce environments within large or multi-org setups.
- Experience with Financial Services Cloud.
- Good understanding of Salesforce platform configuration and architecture.
- Strong coordination skills and attention to detail in fast-moving delivery environments.
- Familiarity with CI/CD and automation tools (e.g., Copado, Gearset, Azure DevOps).
- Confidence working with multiple delivery teams, suppliers, and stakeholders.
- A proactive mindset with a focus on problem-solving and continuous improvement.
- Experience in a regulated industry or complex IT landscape is desirable.
- Nice to have: Exposure to release management or deployment processes.
- Nice to have: Experience with test data management, masking, or compliance frameworks.
- Nice to have: Salesforce certifications (Administrator, Platform App Builder, or similar).
- Nice to have: Broader experience with cloud applications such as MuleSoft, Genesys, SmartComm.
Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain all Salesforce environments (dev, test, staging, pre-prod, prod), ensuring they are stable, secure, and ready when needed.
- Build and implement an environment management strategy to improve consistency and reduce conflicts across delivery teams.
- Oversee environment refreshes, access controls, and data integrity between environments.
- Coordinate integrations with related systems such as MuleSoft, SmartComm, Genesys, and other cloud-based tools.
- Monitor performance and proactively identify issues before they affect delivery.
- Work with developers, testers, and DevOps to automate and optimize environment usage.
- Partner with stakeholders to manage priorities and communicate status clearly.
- Champion good practice around environment governance, compliance, and operational resilience.
Description
We are looking for an experienced Salesforce Environment Manager to join our Financial Services organization, which has embarked on a major transformation program. We thrive on creating structure, efficiency, and control across complex technical landscapes. In this hands-on and collaborative role, you will take ownership of multiple Salesforce environments, ensuring they run smoothly and securely across development, testing, and production. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys bringing order to complexity, overseeing integrations, environments, and data flows that keep our enterprise systems running seamlessly. We offer a forward-thinking culture with excellent benefits, including 25 days of holiday (rising to 30 with service), up to 10% employer pension contribution, an annual discretionary bonus, enhanced maternity and paternity leave, workation opportunities for up to 20 days per year in approved countries, and two paid volunteering days each year. We also provide an option to join private medical insurance. The location for this position is hybrid in the North West, near Leeds, with approximately two days per week on-site. Candidates must have the right to work in the UK without sponsorship and must be able to pass financial checks. This is a permanent position with potential travel to our Southern offices in London and Kent.
