Requirements
Must:
- I require at least 5 years of experience in .NET/C# development, with a strong focus on backend services and data access layers.
- You should have proven experience in migrating legacy systems, particularly from Oracle to PostgreSQL or similar.
- A strong understanding of PL/SQL is essential, along with experience in translating stored procedures into application logic.
- Familiarity with PostgreSQL, including performance tuning and SQL dialect differences, is necessary.
- Experience working in hybrid environments where legacy and modern systems coexist is preferred.
- You should be comfortable using AI tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, code translators) to assist in development and migration tasks.
- A solid understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and integration strategies is required.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team are essential.
Responsibilities
- You will be working on the strategic transformation of a legacy system built on PHP and Oracle, migrating to a modern architecture using PostgreSQL and .NET (C#).
Description
- This is a 6-month rolling contract with a rate of £530 per day via Umbrella. The position is fully remote. - Please note that I will provide a Key Information Document specific to your placement upon successful assignment.
