Requirements
Must:
- Proven experience designing and maintaining SDKs using C, C++, or C#.
- Strong grasp of API design, modular architectures, and cross-platform development.
- Experience integrating 3rd-party drivers such as USB3, CoaXPress, CameraLink, or GigE.
- Previous GUI development experience using Qt, WPF, JavaFX, or modern web technologies (React, Angular, etc.).
- Solid foundation in engineering principles including design patterns, version control, CI/CD, and automated testing.
- Familiarity with performance optimization and debugging across microcode, SDK, and hardware.
- At least 7 years in software engineering, with a minimum of 3 years in a senior or lead role.
- Track record in delivering SDKs or developer tools for commercial products.
- Experience with imaging devices, cameras, or hardware integration is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Lead the architecture, design, and implementation of a developer-friendly SDK for both internal and external users.
- Define coding standards, API guidelines, and best practices.
- Maintain multi-platform support (e.g., Windows, Linux) and ensure strong documentation, versioning, and automated testing.
- Integrate, test, and maintain drivers (e.g., USB3, CoaXPress, CameraLink) and build abstraction layers/APIs for seamless hardware communication.
- Troubleshoot and optimize high-throughput interfaces while collaborating with vendors for compatibility and support.
- Design and develop intuitive GUIs for R&D debug, production QC, and demos, translating requirements into user-friendly applications.
- Apply modern UI principles to create efficient and visually appealing interfaces.
- Collaborate with sales, QA, and cross-functional R&D teams to align the SDK with product strategy.
- Mentor junior engineers and promote engineering excellence while contributing to technology roadmaps and architecture decisions.
