- Degree Level Qualification
- Relevant Professional Qualification
- Proficient in MS Office, Project, and Visio (or other process modeling tools)
- Knowledge of requirements gathering, solution design, and full project lifecycle delivery
- Desired experience includes working on multiple projects simultaneously, matrix management, and familiarity with the FCA, insurance, or utility sector
Responsibilities
As a Business Analyst, I will expect you to:
- Run workshops to flesh out business ideas with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs)
- Identify the goals of change and key benefits of implementing these changes
- Identify the impacts on areas of the business and include stakeholders within the workshops
- Understand and document business requirements in the most appropriate format, such as Business Requirements Document or Customer Stories
- Analyze and document the AS IS process using appropriate techniques
- Identify Use Cases for detailed analysis
- Conduct 1-to-1 meetings and workshops to gather details of the AS IS process as required
- Present the AS IS process in a logical manner
- Support SMEs in designing the TO BE process
- Model and record the TO BE process using appropriate techniques
- Develop activity diagrams and Use Cases for the TO BE process
- Collaborate with the tech team on proposed solutions
- Document outputs such as Business Requirements, including detailed processes and annotated wireframes
- Ensure the business technical team understands requirements
- Provide peer-to-peer review and mentoring
- Analyze data in support of live issue resolution

Join our team as a Business Analyst at HomeServe! We are looking for an experienced professional to join our Technology & Change Team in Walsall. You will play a key role in driving process improvement and digital transformation across our organization. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in process mapping, hands-on experience with IFS systems, and a keen understanding of how AI technologies can enhance business efficiency and insight. If you are passionate about analyzing workflows, optimizing operations, and helping shape the future of intelligent business processes, we would love to hear from you. We work in a hybrid way, with a requirement to travel to our Walsall office at least twice a week. Occasional travel to our Nottingham and Preston offices may also be required. Therefore, it is essential that you are located within a convenient commute to Walsall. The primary responsibility of the Business Analyst is to shape projects and assist with feasibility reviews. Once the project scope is agreed upon, you will collaborate with the project team to ensure successful delivery of the changes.
