Requirements
Must:
- A minimum of 3 years hands-on, proven industry experience in a similar role.
- Industry certifications such as CISSP, CEH, or equivalent are highly desirable.
- In-depth knowledge of security principles, technologies, and best practices, threat detection, and mitigation strategies.
- Mature understanding and experience with cloud security architecture (AWS, Azure) with a proven track record across various platforms (Windows/Linux) to ensure optimal security posture.
- Proven track record of ensuring data confidentiality, integrity, and availability throughout its lifecycle - during transmission, storage, and processing.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills with a passion for security.
- A proactive approach to staying updated with the latest security threats, vulnerabilities, and mitigation techniques.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with the wider GRC & policy team, DevOps teams, development team, and internal IT teams to integrate security into our technical processes.
- Spearhead efforts in fortifying both infrastructure and application platforms against potential threats.
- Ensure the organization meets compliance with standards such as PCI DSS, ISO/IEC 27001, SOC, HIPAA, and IRAP controls.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to navigate various challenging projects while utilizing multiple security tools.
- Lead initiatives in managing security compliance standards relevant to the SaaS industry, such as PCI, GDPR, ISO 27001, SOC2, and NIST.
- Oversee external penetration testing scopes and manage security code reviews and approvals.
- Focus on cryptography management and enhancements.

We are looking for an experienced IT Security Engineer to join our growing Security Ops team, with a focus on both application and infrastructure security. This nearly 100% remote role allows for flexibility, requiring only one day per month in our London office for team meet-ups, with the potential for even less after a six-month onboarding period.
