Responsibilities
As a DevOps Engineer on our specialist team, I will emphasize site reliability engineering (SRE) as a critical function focused on architecture, design, and automation in a Java coding environment. I will be primarily involved on the “Dev” side and will benefit from my background as a Java developer. This role invites strong and experienced Java developers looking to transition into DevOps with a pathway towards platform engineering or SRE, utilizing AWS, Kubernetes, Docker, etc.

We are an exceptional, UK-based global software company with 500 staff, known for our stability, vision, and structure. I will join a strong and cohesive team committed to technical excellence. The position is for a DevOps Engineer (also known as SRE or Platform Engineer), based primarily remotely with one team day in our London office each month. The salary offered ranges from £70,000 to £80,000, accompanied by a 10% bonus and an excellent benefits package. To give you an idea of what would be advantageous in this role, familiarity with an infrastructure as code approach to managing deployments, experience in compliant systems environments such as ISO 27001, SOC, or PCI-DSS, incident, change, and problem management experience, and knowledge of SQL relational databases would all enhance my candidacy.
