Requirements
Must:
- Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, or a related discipline, and/or equivalent industry experience in software development and data systems
- Experience developing applications using Visual Basic (VB or VB.NET)
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server and T-SQL query development
- Experience building Power BI semantic models and reports
- Understanding of database design and data structures
- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment
- Good documentation and communication skills
- Desirable: Experience with .NET frameworks or C#
- Desirable: Knowledge of data integration or ETL processes
- Desirable: Experience with API integrations
- Desirable: Experience supporting engineering or scientific software environments
Responsibilities
- Manage existing database applications, troubleshooting and resolving any issues and ensuring system performance is optimised
- Support the roll out of updates for business systems and software applications used by the Group
- Maintain and develop existing reporting tools and dashboards
- Continually review and improve existing systems and processes, including automation of data extraction and development of legacy systems
- Improve reporting tools integrations with third-party tools
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for software applications
- Assist with system testing, validation, and deployment
- Identify opportunities for automation and system improvements
- Document software processes, architecture, and user guides
Description
