Requirements
Must:
- Extensive experience working with Google Cloud Platform technology in enterprise-scaled environments.
- Excellent Kubernetes knowledge and practical experience.
- Background in delivering and maintaining enterprise-level applications and services.
- Proficiency in Terraform, Helm, and automation scripting (Python/Bash).
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Desirable:
- Experience with HashiCorp Vault.
- CI/CD expertise with Jenkins.
- Relevant GCP or HashiCorp certifications.
- Experience migrating workloads to GCP and/or GKE.
Responsibilities
- Deliver and support Vault services in a Google Cloud environment.
- Work closely with engineers and stakeholders to improve service performance, automation, and observability.
- Contribute to service onboarding, integration with existing platforms, and compliance with architectural standards.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies, design reviews, and code reviews to ensure best practices.
- Share knowledge and expertise through documentation, presentations, and knowledge-sharing sessions.
- Participate in the on-call rota, responding to operational incidents as required.
Description
We have an immediate opportunity for a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) / Google Cloud Consultant on a major GCP implementation programme in central Glasgow. Flexibility to work 3 days onsite is expected. You will be joining a multi-location engineering squad responsible for developing and supporting our secure Vault services. In this role, you will be designing and improving systems, streamlining operational processes, and delivering high-quality, scalable solutions for the business. Interested?
