Responsibilities
As a PostgreSQL DBA, your duties will include:
- Designing and optimizing databases, ensuring efficient schema design, indexing strategies, and query optimization to support program performance and scalability.
- Implementing robust access controls, encryption, and auditing to meet security standards and compliance requirements.
- Developing and maintaining automated backup routines and disaster recovery plans to guarantee data integrity and availability.
- Using PostgreSQL tools and monitoring solutions to proactively identify and resolve performance bottlenecks.
- Ensuring managed AWS Postgres instances are maintained at the appropriate patched version through effective patch management and upgrades.
Description
This is a long-term project with a prestigious public sector client located in London, primarily remote with just one day per month required on-site. The daily rate for this role is between £500 and £525 (Umbrella rate - Inside IR35). We encourage you to apply now for immediate consideration.
