Must:
We are seeking a skilled Infrastructure & Cloud Engineer who has strong hands-on experience in Microsoft Azure, hybrid cloud environments, and enterprise security. To be considered for this role, you should have:
- Proficiency in Microsoft on-prem and cloud stack, including AD/AzureAD, Server/Client OS, Exchange Hybrid, M365, and Intune.
- Experience with Microsoft Azure cloud services, focusing on Networking, RBAC/IAM, and Storage.
- Knowledge of the Microsoft Security stack, specifically Defender, Security & Compliance, and Purview.
- Familiarity with virtualization technologies like VMware (NSX/vSAN desirable).
- Networking expertise, including LAN/WLAN, WAN/MPLS, and Firewalls/VPN.
- Understanding of physical SAN and software-defined storage.
- Experience with monitoring and management tools such as PRTG, SCCM, and Intune.
- Competence in backup, restore, and business continuity processes.
- Skills in securing and hardening infrastructure platforms, along with exposure to SIEM/XDR/MDR systems.
- A background in implementing and supporting enterprise infrastructure solutions, as well as securing various devices including servers, PCs, laptops, tablets, and hybrid cloud environments.
- The ability to document technical implementations and transition them to support teams.
- IT Operations/Service Management and ITIL knowledge.
- Experience with Azure-based infrastructure deployments and project delivery within Agile, Prince2, or Waterfall frameworks.
- It would be desirable to have Microsoft certifications, familiarity with vulnerability scanning, and knowledge of Open Source security methodologies. Understanding of Teams telephony, Cisco/Meraki networking, Veeam Backup, POS systems, SAN storage, Defender stack, Cloudflare, and Cisco ASA/Firepower/ISE, and FortiGate would be advantageous.
Responsibilities
As an Infrastructure & Cloud Engineer, your key responsibilities will include:
- Supporting, monitoring, and maintaining Azure and on-premises infrastructure.
- Performing routine maintenance, backups, and support tasks.
- Responding to incidents and service requests, escalating when necessary.
- Enforcing security policies and supporting proactive monitoring.
- Liaising with suppliers and external support providers.
- Maintaining documentation, knowledgebases, and change management records.
- Collaborating with the technology team on projects and support tasks.
Description
This position is based in Central London, where you will be required to work in the office a maximum of once a week. The salary for this role ranges from £50,000 to £55,000 per annum.
