Requirements
Must:
- At least 5 years commercial experience in a software development role
- Strong background in C# and the .NET ecosystem
- Experience building web applications using ASP.NET MVC and ASP.NET Core
- Hands-on experience with WinForms for desktop development
- Solid SQL skills with experience using Entity Framework and ADO.NET
- Comfortable working with JavaScript and third-party SDKs
Responsibilities
- Partnering with product managers to clarify requirements and translate them into technical solutions
- Contributing to architectural and design discussions with the software architect
- Developing scalable business logic from high-level specifications
- Creating clear, user-friendly interfaces for both web and desktop applications
- Supporting, enhancing, and maintaining existing systems
- Testing software thoroughly to ensure quality and stability before release
Description
We are a well-established specialist organisation located in Livingston, seeking to bring a Software Engineer into our close-knit in-house technology team. Our company builds and maintains a suite of commercial web platforms alongside internal desktop applications, offering plenty of variety and exposure across different technologies. This role offers a salary of up to £55k depending on experience, and we require this position to be onsite 5 days per week. You will work closely with the Chief Software Architect in a collaborative three-person development team, where your contributions will have real visibility and impact.
