Requirements
Must:
- Strong experience administering Microsoft SQL Server environments
- Experience with performance tuning, query optimisation and database monitoring
- Experience implementing and maintaining backup, recovery and disaster recovery solutions
- Experience supporting BI and reporting solutions (e.g. Power BI)
- Experience with Azure-based database environments
- Strong troubleshooting, communication and organisational skills
- Familiarity with technologies such as ODBC, OpenQuery, MySQL, MSSQL or Salesforce data is beneficial but not essential
Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the organisations SQL estate
- Monitor performance and troubleshoot database issues
- Support system integrations and data transfers
- Ensure data is accurate, available, and performing optimally
- Collaborate with BI analysts and developers on reporting initiatives
- Implement and maintain backup, recovery and disaster recovery strategies
- Carry out performance tuning and query optimisation as needed
- Maintain documentation and ensure data security best practices
- Contribute to continuous improvements across the organisations data platforms
