Requirements
Must:
We are looking for a Test Engineer with strong hands-on experience in networking, specifically in Layer 2 and Layer 3 testing. Here is what we need:
- Strong hands-on experience with Layer 2 Metro Ethernet networks and Layer 3 networking.
- Proficiency with Cisco equipment, Versa SD-WAN, and ideally Meraki.
- A solid understanding of Layer 2 features such as LAGs, Spanning Tree, CoS/QoS, TACACS, SNMP, FTP, SSH, NTP, ACLs, and device configuration/management.
- Familiarity with Layer 3 protocols, Cisco IOS, and SD-WAN technologies.
- Experience with traffic generators and tools such as Ixia, Byteblower, and Wireshark.
Responsibilities
In this role, you will be responsible for various testing and automation tasks, including:
- Manual and automated testing, including resource coordination (people and equipment).
- Defect investigation and management.
- Documentation of process updates, test plans, results, and configurations.
- Status reporting.
- Experience with test automation frameworks and scripting languages (Bash, Python) will be an advantage.
