Requirements
Must:
- Proven experience working as a Lead Java Developer within the public sector
- Demonstrable team lead / leadership experience - ability to guide developers, support technical decision making, and ensure delivery standards
- Active Security Clearance (SC)
- Expertise in a range of technologies, including Java 8 and 17+, Spring / Spring Boot, React / HTML
- AWS Cloud Services experience
- Working experience with MySQL
- Nice to have: Technical hands-on experience with Terraform, Kibana, Apache Camel
- Nice to have: Linux in a containerised environment
- Immediate availability
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of developers in delivering a business-critical programme
- Guide technical decision-making and set delivery standards
- Engage with stakeholders to ensure project alignment and success
- Stay updated on new technologies and practices to enhance team efficiency
- Oversee the implementation of Java applications and related technologies
- Troubleshoot and resolve any technical issues that arise during development
Description
We are a well-known consultancy based in London, offering an exciting opportunity for a Technical Lead/Lead Developer role. This position can be performed remotely or on-site, depending on your preference. We provide a competitive daily rate of up to £550, inside IR35, for an initial contract period of 3 months. Our team is looking for someone with proven leadership skills and active security clearance to guide and support developers in a critical project.
