Requirements
Must:
We require you to have strong experience with configuration management tools, such as Ansible or Chef, and proficiency with Terraform. You should also have hands-on experience with containerization and orchestration tools (like Kubernetes or OpenShift) and CI/CD pipeline experience (for example, using Jenkins). Familiarity with monitoring tools (such as Prometheus, Grafana, or InfluxDB) and MQ messaging experience (like RabbitMQ) is essential. A solid understanding of SQL and relational databases, as well as Linux administration and shell scripting skills, are necessary. Additionally, we expect you to have familiarity with network security protocols and experience with cloud platforms, ideally AWS (including services such as EC2, RDS, S3, and Lambda).
Desirable qualifications include coding experience in Java, Go, Python, or similar languages, knowledge of cross-domain technologies, experience in service management environments, practical application of observability patterns, and familiarity with Azure.
Responsibilities
In your role, you will collaborate with software engineers to improve reliability and performance. You will automate operational tasks to reduce alert fatigue and enhance monitoring and observability to pre-empt issues. Supporting development environments to meet delivery goals will also be a focus. Additionally, you will evaluate tools and technologies to guide build vs. buy decisions and develop expertise across both technical and business domains.
Description
We are currently seeking an experienced Site Reliability Engineer to support the growth and reliability of a suite of cross-domain services used in complex, high-demand environments. This key role is focused on ensuring service availability, performance, and cost-efficiency across both cloud and on-prem infrastructure. You will work closely with development and support teams to evolve infrastructure, enhance observability, and proactively mitigate reliability risks. Due to the nature of the work, successful candidates will be required to undergo security vetting. We welcome applications from all backgrounds and are committed to creating an inclusive recruitment process.
