Requirements
Must:

- Basic scripting knowledge (Python, Shell, APIs) for Engineer role
- Solid troubleshooting & analytical skills for Engineer role
- Extensive hands-on Akamai experience (KSD, WAF, Bot Manager, EdgeWorkers, CDN) for Senior Engineer role
- Strong knowledge of OWASP Top 10, DDoS, API protection & bot threats for Senior Engineer role
- Deep understanding of HTTP/S, DNS, TCP/IP, TLS & caching strategies for Senior Engineer role
- Experience with large-scale, high-traffic web environments for Senior Engineer role
- Scripting/automation skills (Python, Shell, Akamai APIs) for Senior Engineer role
- Strong troubleshooting & performance tuning capability for Senior Engineer role
Responsibilities
- Configure & maintain Akamai tools (KSD, WAF, Bot Manager, CDN)
- Support implementation of rulesets, policies & routing configs
- Monitor traffic, identify threats & assist in incident response
- Tune WAF & bot rules to reduce false positives
- Assist with CDN configuration, caching & performance tuning
- Manage certificates, redirects, and Akamai property updates
- Collaborate with application teams for secure deployments
- Produce documentation & support continuous improvement
- Architect, configure & optimise Akamai tools for Senior Engineer role
- Lead end-to-end policy and ruleset implementation for Senior Engineer role
- Conduct threat analysis, log review & incident response for Senior Engineer role
- Implement rate limiting, DDoS protection & bot mitigation for Senior Engineer role
- Manage Akamai properties, certificates, redirects & routing for Senior Engineer role
- Provide technical leadership & best-practice guidance for Senior Engineer role
Description
We are looking for skilled Akamai Security Engineers and Senior Akamai Security Engineers to join our team in Knutsford. These roles focus on the design, deployment, and optimisation of Akamai security solutions across large-scale digital platforms. With a hybrid work model of 3 days onsite and 2 remote, we offer competitive day rates up to £620 for senior engineers.
