Requirements
Must:
- Proven experience as a Network Engineer / Tooling SME.
- Strong background in network engineering and operational support environments.
- Hands-on experience designing and implementing integrations between network monitoring tools and ITSM platforms (e.g. ServiceNow).
- Expertise configuring and optimising network observability tools across on-prem and cloud platforms.
- Proficiency with: SolarWinds (on-prem and cloud observability), Cisco & Meraki networking solutions and Palo Alto Strata Cloud Manager.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with network engineering and operations teams.
- Capable of providing tooling SME guidance, best practices, and operational recommendations.
- Nice to have: Experience working in or supporting a Network Operations / Operations Centre.
- Nice to have: Exposure to automation, event correlation, or alert optimisation within ITSM platforms.
Responsibilities
- Support design, deployment, and optimisation of integrations between network observability tools and ITSM platforms.
- Collaborate with network engineering and operations teams to improve tooling effectiveness.
- Provide guidance on best practices and operational recommendations related to network tooling.
Description
We are seeking a Network Engineer / Tooling SME for a hybrid/field-based role focused on enhancing integrations between network tools and ITSM platforms. This 6-month contract offers competitive pay of up to £550 per day (Inside IR35). We value strong engineering fundamentals and hands-on experience in both on-prem and cloud environments. Our team is dedicated to creating effective solutions while fostering a collaborative environment.
