Requirements
Must:
I am looking for someone with extensive experience in cloud-based data engineering, preferably with Databricks, and a strong background in modernization and large-scale migration. You should have expertise in Azure services such as API Manager and App Service, as well as knowledge of Databricks, Spark, Python, SQL, and AI/ML frameworks. A proven track record of leading technical teams and delivering complex data solutions in production is essential. Additionally, you should have a strong understanding of data governance, security, and compliance in regulated environments.
Responsibilities
In this pivotal role, you will define and implement the data engineering strategy aligned with our business and technology goals. You will lead the development of data ingestion, quality, and metadata pipelines powering our Supervisory Analytics and Metrics (SAM) tools. Your tasks will include delivering scalable, secure, and production-ready data platforms using Azure and Databricks, and collaborating across Technology and DAT to integrate SAM solutions into our Enterprise Data Platform (EDP). You will champion CI/CD, DevOps, data governance, and federated development within our Hub & Spoke model. Mentoring and coaching data engineers on Azure tooling, pipeline management, coding practices, and design principles will also be a key part of your role. You will work with data governance teams to maintain a comprehensive data catalog and ensure compliance with security and privacy regulations while contributing to our Communities of Practice in support of our cloud-first strategy.
