Requirements
Must:
- Experience in creating, uploading, and managing engaging website content that is relevant and appropriate for online channels and audiences.
- Ability to ensure content is properly linked within the website structure to support easy navigation and search.
- Experience collaborating with communications and marketing teams to ensure website content aligns with strategic goals.
- Proficient in writing and editing copy for online communications, ensuring it is effective, accessible, user-friendly, and adheres to specific style guidelines.
- Technical capability in creating and uploading additional content such as images, PDFs, infographics, videos, and animations while ensuring accessibility and optimization.
- Knowledge of website guidelines and processes, including style guides and accessibility standards.
- Understanding of website structure, design, consistency, and adherence to brand guidelines with a focus on user experience.
- Proficiency in using analytical tools, such as Google Analytics, to monitor website performance and suggest improvements.
- Ability to provide regular and ad-hoc reports on website performance and KPIs.
- Capacity to monitor SEO performance, identify challenges, and recommend content and design enhancements.
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and external suppliers for technical website developments.
- Staying updated on website content and design trends for continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
- I will ensure the creation, uploading, and ongoing management of engaging website content that resonates with our audiences.
- I will collaborate closely with our Communications and Member Marketing teams to align website content with strategic objectives.
- I will guide and assist colleagues in writing and editing effective online copy while adhering to our style guidelines.
- I will support colleagues in the technical processes required for uploading various content types and ensure they are optimized for accessibility.
- I will maintain and contribute to the development of our website guidelines, ensuring compliance with best practices.
- I will manage responsibilities relating to website structure and design consistency, prioritizing user accessibility and experience.
- I will monitor website performance and user engagement through analytics tools, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
- I will collaborate with internal teams and external suppliers to enhance the website and user experience.
- I will stay current with trends in website content and design, and recommend improvements.
Description
We are looking for a dedicated Website Content Officer for a 3-month contract at a rate of £21 per hour. This role is based in the East Midlands, with the expectation of being on-site for 1-2 days initially, transitioning to a flexible remote position.
