Requirements
Must:
- Experience working with SOC tools (use case tuning, IPS/IDS, EDR, SIEM, Vulnerability scanning)
- Experience working in alignment with security best practice frameworks (e.g. ISO27001, Cyber Essentials +, NIST, CAF)
- Experience working alongside third parties to enhance security posture (MSSPs, Auditors, etc.)
- Experience responding to audit requirements and artefact gathering
- Experience in an enterprise IT environment

Responsibilities
- Work alongside an MSSP and third-party security auditors on internal SecOps work, gap analyses, and audits
- Work on SIEM, EDR, and Vulnerability Management tools
- Ensure compliance with various security frameworks (ISO27001, Cyber Essentials +, NIST, CAF)
- Collaborate with the MSSP to ensure risks and alerts raised are relevant to the organization, reducing false positives wherever possible
- Assist with vulnerability scans, assessments, and remediation
- Drive forward the security function with knowledge of security best practices
- Work on security-related projects and reporting
- Maintain contemporary knowledge of current threats and cyber trends
- Assist with incident response
Description
We are seeking a Cyber Security Specialist to join our team in Leicester on a hybrid basis, working 2-3 days a week. We offer a competitive salary between £40,000 and £47,500, along with a good pension scheme, holiday allowance, and options for holiday buy and sell. In this role, you will collaborate closely with an MSSP and various auditors to enhance our security posture and ensure compliance with top security frameworks.
