Requirements

Must:
- Proven experience in delivering end-to-end BI solutions. - Experience with agile/iterative development, including refining and estimating user stories, and collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and high-quality delivery of Business Intelligence solutions. - Strong scripting/programming skills in languages such as Python/R and advanced knowledge of SQL. - In-depth knowledge of data warehouse design and development, including data modeling (Kimball) and developing ETL/ELT processes. - Experience in designing and implementing Power BI semantic models and developing measures in DAX. - Proficient in delivering reports and dashboards in Power BI, with expertise in data visualization, best practices, and accessibility standards. - Experience with Azure DevOps, including backlogs, boards, GIT, automation, and deployment pipelines. - Knowledge and understanding of relevant information security risks and mitigation strategies. - Understanding of data protection regulations, including GDPR. - Ability to think strategically, pay close attention to detail, and proactively research solutions and best practices. - Excellent stakeholder management skills and commitment to collaborative work. - Self-motivated with flexibility to meet business needs and pressures. - Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the confidence to challenge existing ideas and work practices. - Delivery-focused with a pragmatic approach to assessing requirements and translating business needs into technical specifications. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce clear and concise documentation.

Responsibilities

As a Power BI Developer, I will be responsible for: - Designing, developing, and maintaining data models, ETL processes, reports, and dashboards to deliver end-to-end BI solutions from data ingestion to processing and visualization. - Collaborating with colleagues, including business analysts and data engineers, to refine and estimate requirements and deliver pragmatic solutions that meet the business’s needs. - Contributing to the implementation and development of standards, tools, and techniques to ensure all work is delivered according to best practices. - Working closely with stakeholders to understand requirements and communicate progress, challenges, and insights clearly. - Designing and implementing dimensional and semantic models for reporting, as well as scalable and efficient ETL processes using Azure Data Services, ensuring data integrity, scalability, and performance. - Creating actionable and visually appealing reports and dashboards using Power BI that inform decisions and support service delivery. - Ensuring all code is documented and committed to version control, following agreed branching and pull-request processes, while implementing in accordance with development, configuration management, testing, and change control standards. - Implementing and maintaining security measures to safeguard sensitive data and ensure compliance with data governance and regulatory requirements.
