Requirements
Must:
- Strong hands-on expertise in Kafka / Confluent Kafka, MongoDB, AWS, APIs, and Operational Data Stores (ODS).
- Prior experience delivering streaming and ODS solutions is essential.
- Ability to switch seamlessly between high-level architecture and low-level design/implementation.
- Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills.
- Ability to manage expectations, justify design decisions, and drive alignment across multiple teams.
Responsibilities
- Designing, building, and validating end-to-end solutions, not just providing architectural oversight.
- Leading PoCs, prototypes, technical spikes, and solution demos.
- Working across conceptual architecture, low-level design, and implementation guidance.
- Supporting architecture governance through reviews, standards compliance, and submissions to approval boards.
- Engaging confidently with senior stakeholders, cross-functional partners, and engineering teams.
- Operating autonomously while ensuring alignment and architectural integrity across teams.

We are a large, high-visibility banking organization focused on building a robust enterprise streaming and Operational Data Store (ODS) capability. This high-impact architectural role will allow you to shape and influence our core streaming and ODS architectural strategy, providing autonomy to lead design, experimentation, and delivery with strong organizational support. You will work with senior leaders and cutting-edge data/streaming technologies in a collaborative and innovative environment.
