Requirements
Must:
- Extensive experience supporting enterprise networks
- Proficiency in managing firewalls, Wi-Fi platforms, routing protocols, and network security technologies
- Strong exposure to Fortinet firewalls, enterprise-grade wireless management platforms, and NAC solutions like ClearPass
- Experience with OSPF and BGP routing, as well as supporting LAN and WAN environments
- Comfortable managing DNS, DHCP, IPv4, and IPv6 addressing, along with IPAM platforms such as Infoblox
- Experience in multi-site environments, fibre and cabling work, switch configuration, and general enterprise networking
- Analytical and methodical approach with the ability to remain calm when dealing with complex issues
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
- Ability to work with individuals of varying technical levels
- SC clearance preferred
- Ability to work onsite in Didcot 3 days per week
Responsibilities
- Support and maintain a wide range of critical network services across a busy, multi-site environment
- Work on routing, switching, Wi-Fi, firewalls, IP address management, network access control, and cloud telephony
- Ensure connectivity remains reliable, secure, and aligned with the organisations technical needs
- Resolve incidents and fine-tune configurations as part of day-to-day operations and longer-term improvements
- Support project activity and transition new services into live operations
- Carry out complex installations or upgrades independently
- Monitor performance, diagnose issues at source, and ensure security controls, routing protocols, and access policies are robust
- Liaise with Estates teams regarding network requirements for buildings and cabling activity
- Maintain clear and accurate documentation of changes, designs, and operational standards
Description

Our network infrastructure is essential to enabling collaboration, high-performance computing, data exchange, and secure connectivity across multiple sites. We offer a skilled and supportive team environment where you will gain exposure to an extensive network estate. This is a 6-month contract based in Didcot, UK, offering £480 per day, with a hybrid working arrangement of 3 days onsite.
