Requirements
Must:
- Previous experience in a 1st/ 2nd Line IT support role
- Solid understanding of Windows 10 and 11
- Familiarity with Microsoft 365 and Active Directory
- Experience with remote device management tools (advantageous)
- Knowledge of PowerShell or basic automation (not essential)
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Self-motivated and well-organised
- Ability to manage a varied workload

Responsibilities
- Take ownership of day-to-day technical issues and provide end-user support
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues across desktops, laptops, tablets, and various hardware
- Support the setup and configuration of new devices
- Maintain Windows-based systems and monitor connectivity across the sites LAN and Wi-Fi networks
- Administer Microsoft 365 services including Exchange, Teams, OneDrive, Intune, and SharePoint
- Manage user accounts and permissions through Active Directory and Group Policy
- Maintain accurate documentation and support IT audits and backups
- Ensure adherence to internal IT security standards
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to maintain system reliability
Description
We are currently recruiting for a proactive 1st / 2nd Line IT Support Engineer on a permanent basis for our customer based in Poole, supporting approximately 350 internal users. You will be joining a respected and innovative organisation that plays a key role in supporting global defence operations.
