Requirements
Must:
- Experience owning or leading API or EDI integration work
- A solid understanding of REST or SOAP principles
- Confidence reading XML and working with structured data
- Knowledge of relational databases or SQL
- A practical understanding of Azure services involved in integration or data pipelines
- Familiarity with Power BI and how reporting relies on integration feeds
- Clear communication skills with both technical and non-technical teams
- Strong organization and attention to detail
- A calm, methodical approach to solving problems and delivering improvements
Responsibilities
- Take complete ownership of the API and EDI areas across the business
- Design how integrations behave and decide the best technical approach
- Be accountable for delivering solutions that work consistently
- Lead EDI onboarding from the first technical conversation through testing and go live
- Set standards for integration documentation and ensure data mapping is accurate
- Monitor performance to keep everything running smoothly
- Identify areas for improvement and drive solutions
- Guide colleagues, partners, and customers through integration requirements
- Explain how systems should connect and why
Description
We are Hays, supporting a long-standing client on their digital growth journey. We are looking to appoint an API and EDI Integration Specialist who can take full ownership of their integration landscape in Gainsborough. This newly created role invites someone who wants to lead the way in how systems connect, improve data movement, and deliver integration solutions that support a modern, growing business. Our collaborative team works on meaningful projects, and we offer a hybrid working model with one day from home after probation.
