Requirements
Must:
- I have deep experience in the software/application development process/lifecycle and delivery of complex software solutions.
- I possess solid experience in designing, building, and supporting a variety of commercial, complex, enterprise systems.
- I can build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels, both internally and externally.
- I am committed to design, build, and deployment excellence and can see the wider picture and consider consequences.
- I serve as the technical authority for the client and am skilled in systems design, considering both functional and non-functional demands.
- I have proficient people management skills, with an ability to lead and develop a team as individuals as well as together.
- I have strong demonstrable development experience across a range of technology stacks, ideally having developed systems based on .NET and related frameworks. Knowledge of front-end development is beneficial.
- I possess deep experience with cloud-based design and deployment patterns on cloud-based platforms, preferably Azure.
- I have a deep understanding of the software development lifecycle and key development technologies, with a sound familiarity of at least one methodology (Agile preferred).
Responsibilities
- I will deliver high-quality technical solutions to meet stakeholder requirements.
- I will ensure user stories are ready for development to start work, clearly understanding and accurately defining customer requirements from both a technical and business perspective.
- I will support solutions through the selection of appropriate tools, technologies, and frameworks, drawing on my experience or driving innovation and applying best practices.
- I will provide architectural input and ownership into HLD and LLD phases, including cost estimation and documentation.
- I will lead and encourage awareness of chosen methodologies, maintaining respect for Agile software design and engineering practices.
- I will ensure best practice approaches to software development, including design patterns, DevOps, continuous development, and continuous delivery.
- I will develop and maintain a deep technical knowledge of the technology stack.
- I will consider broader issues and non-functional requirements such as scalability, security, maintainability, and performance.
- I will mentor developers in the team and review code, contributing to the overall quality and security principles.
- I will provide technical training, solution awareness, and knowledge transfer to other team members.
- I will support project management by leading the upfront and ongoing phases of delivery.
- I will ensure consistent collaboration, relevant documentation, and support/service mechanisms throughout all engagement lifecycles.
- I will prototype potential solutions through Proof-of-Concept and MVP implementations.
- I will transition new client solutions into managed services while ensuring engagement and value once in service.
Description
This role is part of a forward-thinking, highly-skilled team that shares a common vision of quality, integrity, and efficiency. As a Development Technical Architect, I will own the architecture, implementation, and delivery of complex solutions using Agile methodologies, software development procedures, and other engineering techniques. The position offers a home-based working environment with a salary of up to £70,000.
