Requirements
Must:
- Proven experience delivering enterprise-grade solutions on the Microsoft Azure platform.
- Strong proficiency in .NET C# and event-driven development methodologies.
- Hands-on expertise with Azure services such as Event Hubs, Service Bus, Event Grid, Web Apps, Serverless Functions, APIM, and data services like Azure SQL and Cosmos DB.
- A track record of building and consuming APIs and microservices using modern architectural patterns (e.g., CQRS, event sourcing).
- Leadership experience, with a passion for mentoring and growing development teams.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Agile delivery experience and a commitment to continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
As the Senior Software Developer, I will establish you as the cornerstone of our brand-new in-house development team. You will lead the design and implementation of a cutting-edge, event-driven integration platform built on Microsoft Azure. Initially, you will work alongside expert consultants before taking full technical ownership. This role is a unique opportunity to shape the future of our digital services from the ground up, architecting scalable solutions, integrating third-party systems, and mentoring a high-performing team. Your work will go beyond coding, as you will be a technical leader, a mentor, and a champion of best practices in software development. You will help define our organisation's digital ecosystem and ensure it delivers seamless, secure, and high-quality experiences for both customers and staff.
Description
This position is full-time, requiring 37 hours per week. In return, we offer the flexibility of hybrid working with only 2 days on-site each week. You will receive 25 days of annual leave, which can increase to a maximum of 30 days, plus additional time off for bank holidays. Our benefits also include pension contributions and healthcare plans.
