Requirements
Must:
We are looking for someone with proven experience as a SQL Server DBA or in a similar role. You should have strong proficiency in T-SQL, as well as experience with stored procedures, triggers, and performance tuning. Familiarity with SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS), SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), and SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) is essential. Additionally, knowledge of data warehousing and business intelligence concepts is required. Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage with stakeholders are crucial, as is the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a hybrid work environment. Desirable qualifications include being a Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate or similar, as well as experience with cloud-based database solutions (e.g., Azure SQL) and knowledge of Power BI or other data visualization tools.
Responsibilities
In this role, you will administer, maintain, and optimize our SQL Server databases across development, test, and production environments. You will monitor database performance, implement necessary changes, and apply new patches and versions when required. Ensuring database security, integrity, stability, and system availability will be critical. You will collaborate with software developers and IT teams to support application development and deployment, as well as engage with business stakeholders to gather requirements and provide valuable data insights to support reporting needs. Additionally, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining documentation for database configurations, procedures, and policies, as well as implementing and managing backup and disaster recovery strategies. Supporting data migration, transformation, and integration projects will also be part of your responsibilities.
