Requirements
Must:
I am looking for a candidate with proven experience in designing and delivering cloud-based data platforms at scale, preferably with Snowflake. You should possess expertise in cloud data architecture, including data lakes, lakehouses, and warehouse design. Advanced proficiency in SQL, DBT, and Python for ELT workflows is essential. Additionally, hands-on experience with Snowflake features such as schema design, micro-partitioning, warehouses, tasks, streams, and Snowpark is required. Familiarity with replication and transformation tools, such as Airbyte and DBT, as well as cloud ecosystems (AWS preferred), is important. A strong understanding of data governance, metadata, and lineage frameworks is necessary, along with experience enabling BI tools (e.g., Power BI) through Snowflake data models. Experience in data migration, change management, and the enterprise rollout of modern data platforms is desirable.
Responsibilities
In this strategic, hands-on role, I expect you to lead the development and evolution of our modern enterprise data platform. You will take full ownership of the Snowflake platform implementation and adoption, ensuring it becomes the central hub for trusted, secure, and high-performing data. You will act as the technical authority, defining best practices, establishing governance frameworks, and mentoring engineers and analysts to maximize platform value. Key responsibilities include designing, implementing, and managing Snowflake as the enterprise data hub with a focus on scalability, security, and performance; defining frameworks for data ingestion, replication, storage, and transformation; building efficient ELT pipelines using DBT and Python; configuring Snowflake warehouses for cost efficiency and speed; implementing data quality, lineage, and access control in line with regulatory standards; driving the adoption of advanced Snowflake features; guiding data engineers and analysts; collaborating closely with business teams; and establishing monitoring, alerting, and cost management strategies.
