Requirements
Must:
- Solid experience with Azure DevOps (Repos, Pipelines, Boards, Artifacts)
- Strong grasp of DevOps and CI/CD across hybrid environments
- Skilled in Git, scripting (PowerShell/Bash), and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, Bicep)
- Familiar with containerization (Docker) and microservices delivery
- Comfortable working across cloud and on-premise setups
- Understanding of secure development practices and performance-focused testing
Responsibilities
- Design and implement DevOps and automation solutions across development and testing
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps, including infrastructure-as-code
- Support cloud and on-prem delivery with reusable platform components to streamline workflows
- Collaborate with Change teams to embed tools and processes for fast, safe software delivery
- Enable automated non-functional testing (e.g., security, performance) through platform features
- Advocate for DevOps best practices and mentor teams on platform use, security, and metrics
- Drive a platform-as-product mindset focused on self-service, scalability, and developer experience
Description
We are supporting a Cardiff-based professional services business in recruiting for 2x Platform Engineer / DevOps Engineers. The roles are initially 12-month fixed-term contracts but could go permanent or extend. We offer flexible hybrid working, requiring on-site presence as needed, ranging from a couple of times a week to a couple of times a month. The salary range, depending on experience, is between £40k - £58k. You'll enjoy a remote/hybrid flexible working pattern with site visits in central Cardiff as required for team meetings, along with a competitive salary and benefits.
