Requirements
Must:
- Prior leadership experience in a similar role
- Strong knowledge of Mobile Network domain
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, SQL, etc.
- Expertise in data visualization tools (preferred Tableau over Power BI)
- Knowledge of machine learning algorithms and their applications
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (GCP essential)
- Strong background in DevOps, including test automation and cultural change
- Proficiency in telecom protocols and standards (SIP, VoIP, 5G, LTE)
- Experience handling commercial and customer data, as well as proficiency in data analysis activities (data collection, cleansing, interpretation)
- Ability to effectively communicate findings through data storytelling
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Capacity to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Proven track record of setting tech direction and delivering impact
- Ability to work in ambiguous environments with fragmented stakeholders
Responsibilities
- Provide technical expertise and guidance to the Insights & Analytics domain
- Act as the line manager for the data product squad
- Collaborate with stakeholders and technical teams to meet business objectives
- Oversee the successful delivery of high-quality data product solutions within the squad
- Collaborate closely with the Product Owner to drive customer-focused product delivery within an agile framework
- Actively govern solution design, code performance, and quality standards to ensure optimal system performance
- Take ownership of the squad's technical output and lead development efforts
- Foster a culture of innovation and collaboration within the team
Description
We are one of the UK's leading telecommunications companies, and this role will focus on outputs associated with Mobile Networks within our estate. An understanding of the underlying technology architectures of Radio Access technologies (2G-5GNB-IOT, LTE-M), Backhaul, and Mobile Core networks is key, along with a desirable familiarity with the nuances of a Tier One operator's mobile network and data sources. We are seeking candidates based in the UK with the right to work and rich experience as outlined above; please note that sponsorship is not available.
