Requirements
Must:
- Must be RedHat Certified and ITII Foundation certified
- Over 6 years of experience in a fast-paced UNIX environment
- Excellent communication and articulation skills
- Ability to drive interaction with senior stakeholders
- Comfortable working in APAC/EMEA and at weekends
- UNIX Administration and troubleshooting skills
- Clear concepts of LVM, user management, and operating system troubleshooting
- Deep understanding of UNIX OS and troubleshooting various UNIX OS issues
- Knowledge of automation, Chef, and Powerbroker technologies
- AWS/cloud knowledge is an added advantage
- Experience in remote troubleshooting and diagnosis of UNIX issues
- Coordination with vendors like Linux and Oracle on hardware/software issues
- Understanding and troubleshooting experience of Veritas Volume Manager and Veritas Cluster
- Basic Tivoli Storage Manager Client administration and troubleshooting of backup failures
- Good understanding of network connectivity and protocols with respect to the UNIX platform
- Exposure to ticketing tools like ServiceNow
- Understanding and experience working on DNS, FTP, and NFS
Responsibilities
- Take on a key project for a multinational organization
- Provide UNIX administration and troubleshooting
- Collaborate with vendors to coordinate hardware/software issues
- Diagnose and resolve UNIX issues remotely
- Ensure timely communication with senior stakeholders
- Manage user access and filesystem issues
- Utilize ticketing tools for incident management
- Troubleshoot and remediate backup failures using Tivoli Storage Manager
- Implement automation solutions using Chef and other technologies
