Requirements
Must:
We are looking for strong Java/Spring developers with at least 3 years of experience. Experience with Microservices is preferred, along with Angular UI on the front end (though React or Vue with a willingness to move to Angular would be acceptable). Familiarity with MySQL or other relational databases is required. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in an AWS environment and have experience with Agile methodologies and collaborative work. Proficiency in using Git, Jira, and Confluence (or similar tools) is essential. Looking ahead, familiarity with Kafka, Docker, Kubernetes, and other modern development tooling will be beneficial.
Responsibilities
In this role, I will be working on projects that aim to revolutionize and disrupt a 100-year-old industry. I will build tools in a hybrid working environment, spending 2 days per week in our head office in Poole, Dorset. My responsibilities will include developing clean Angular UI modules and new scalable Java/Spring components, assisting in the transition from legacy systems to modern solutions. The development team operates with a start-up mentality to stay ahead of the rapidly changing tech landscape, allowing me to work with the latest technologies and tools.
